Some iPhone Cases Are Not For Me

After I see something time after time again, I am of the mindset that I’d become used to whatever subject it is. Whether it’s good or bad, you might get used to it with enough effort. The situation of iPhone cases, though, is one monkey I can’t shake off of my back. One might find it petty that I put so much emphasis on something like this. You may have a valid point but when I see the same cases being used for countless phones, I can’t help but be annoyed.

I don’t want to claim that I am a trendsetter, because I am not one to closely follow anything that can be considered the norm in society’s fashion. I am my own person, I believe, and others can judge me based off of that. Having said that, though, I understand the appeal of being trendy. Staying up to date with the latest trends stretch beyond technology, to clothes or music, to name just a couple. I hold some form of grudge to certain trends but I’m not unaware of the appeal.

As far as iPhone cases are concerned, the most common cases that I have found are the silicone covers. You might already know what I am referring to already. These covers of sorts come in a vast collection of colors, even the most extreme ones like the neon yellow and hot pink some people find inclined to sport. More information about these cases can be found by checking this site but I’m sure many of you are wondering why I dislike these cases as much as I do.

To illustrate the point further, take “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele for example. To be honest, I actually kind of enjoy this song and I believe Adele as a singer is talented as well. My disdain for the song stems from the idea that it’s simply over-saturated. I’ve seen more than my fair share of covers of the song and its use in singing contests has been, in my mind, abused. “Rolling in the Deep” has suffered, in my mind, thanks to overuse and its likability just isn’t all there.

In simplest terms, this form of iPhone cases is just too common for me. I prefer when things are more broad, varied in all senses. There’s staleness in the same thing being done or utilized over and over and a sense of intrigue is lost. Not everyone has to follow the same path for the sake of fitting in with the crowd. Wouldn’t the world be much more boring if everyone wanted to be the same kind of person when they grew up?
